This AI app will let your create music with just prompts – Smartprix

AI or Artificial Intelligence has been in the limelight for a long time now. And we have also got to see a lot of applications based on the same. In a recent development, it seems like AI is also going to change the way music is being created until now. A new experimental application allows users to turn their ideas into music.

In an official blog post, the Product Manager of Labs, Kristin Yim, and the Product Manager of Google Research, Hema Manickavasagam, made an announcement regarding the sign-ups for MusicLM. The application is being hailed as an experimental tool that can transform text prompts into music.

Let’s understand it better with an example, suppose you have entered a prompt, ‘soulfull jazz for a dinner party,.’ Then the AI will, in no time, generate a track as per the prompt. The principle behind the working of MusicLM is pretty identical to that of what we get to see in chatbots by Google or Microsoft.

If we go by the blog, then MusicLM works on the text prompts and provides two versions of a song in return. All the users will be allowed to listen to both versions and offer a trophy to the one that sounds better. This will also help the AI model in the betterment of music-generating capabilities.

However, with all the positive reasons, there are a couple of negative reasons in the play too. Some people are concerned that the tool will harm the artists in the long run. As claimed by Google, the tool is going to be a responsible innovation, and it will focus on empowering musicians and helping them with the tech to scale up their creativity. You can try your hands on the application via any platform like iOS, Android, or the web. However, to do the same, you are supposed to sign up and join the waiting list.
