Besides, it also keeps you full for a longer time and keeps your hunger pangs at bay.  Here we bring you a makhana chaat recipe that you can prepare in just 10 minutes. This recipe has been shared by renowned chef Guntas on Instagram. Take a look:

Chef Guntas took to Instagram to share the recipe and wrote alongside, “Craving a snack but can’t find guilt-free snacking options- this Makhana Chat could save the day for you! It’s easy to make, super delicious and quite nutritious!”  Let’s take a look at the recipe: 

Quick and Easy Recipe: How To Make Makhana Chaat In 10 Mins 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 cups of makhana / fox nuts/ lotus seeds 
  • 1 tbsp ghee 
  • 1 chopped onion 
  • 1 chopped tomato 
  • 1 chopped green chilli 
  • Chopped mint & coriander leaves 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 tsp chaat masala 
  • 1 tsp jeera powder 
  • Curd 
  • Green chutney 
  •  Date & Tamarind chutney 
  • Roasted peanuts 

Method: 

  • Start by roasting makhanas in ghee until they turn crispy. Transfer them to a bowl once they cool down.  
  •  Now, add chopped tomatoes, onions, green chilli, mint and coriander leaves, and spices. Mix well. 
  • Top it up with curd, green chutney, tamarind chutney, coriander leaves, roasted peanuts and a sprinkling of chaat masala. 

Chef Guntas also mentioned the following tips in the caption: 

  • Make the bhel and serve it quickly, otherwise it tends to get soggy. 
  • Make sure the heat is low when roasting the Makhana to keep them from burning. 
  • Did you know Makhana is also called Fox Nuts or Lotus Seeds!
