Starting today, Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 will be the first two foldables to receive the OneUI 4.1.1 update. Later the update will also be released for older Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold2, Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip.

One of the incremental additions to this year’s Galaxy Z Fold4 was the new Taskbar. With the OneUI 4.1.1 update, the new Taskbar will be available on the older Galaxy Z Fold3, Z Fold2 and Z Fold. The revamped Taskbar offers a PC-like experience, improving multitasking on the bigger inner screen.
Using the Taskbar, users can now open apps in multi-window by dragging and dropping an app from the Taskbar. Dragging an app to the edge opens the apps in multi-window mode, while dragging to the centre opens the app in a floating pop-up view. One can have several apps opened at once – two in multi-window mode and others in pop-up view, and users can add app pairs to the Taskbar. Moreover, one can switch to a full-screen, multi-window or pop-up view with a swipe gesture.
The OneUI 4.1.1 update also adds the camera controls on the cover screen of Galaxy Z Fold smartphones. Using the Dual Preview, the user and subject can simultaneously see the preview on the inner and outer screens.

One can also call their favourite contacts, dial back missed calls or reply to texts using voice-to-text and emojis from the cover screen. The update brings a few more Quick Setting tiles to the cover screen, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode and flashlight.
