Hamish Kerr and Paul Coll have claimed New Zealand’s latest gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in the high jump and men’s squash singles events.

The golds were New Zealand’s third of the day, after Sam Gaze took top honours in the the mountain biking cross-country final, while Ben Oliver won silver in the event.
Hamish Kerr won the men’s high jump final, recording a jump of 2.25m to beat out reigning champion Brandon Starc of Australia.
Starc secured the silver medal while India’s Tejaswin Shankar took out the bronze medal in the event.
Paul Coll overcame Wales’ Joel Makin by three-games-to-two in the men’s squash singles event to notch a gold medal of his own.
New Zealand has won 10 medals on day six in Birmingham, with Maddison-Lee Wesche taking bronze in the women’s shot put.
Earlier, David Liti won silver in the men’s over 109kg weightlifting, Kody Andrews took silver in the men’s judo, with fellow judoka’s Moira Koster and Sydnee Andrews each winning bronze.
Swimmer Lewis Clareburt finished third in the 200m individual medley and men’s mountain bikers Sam Gaze and Ben Oliver won gold and silver for a New Zealand one-two.
