No fruit can match the absolute juiciness of oranges. From their taste to their texture, everything about oranges is refreshing, making them the perfect thirst-quencher. When you spot oranges in the market, you simply can’t resist adding them to your cart. Sometimes, we even find ourselves stocking up on fresh oranges to enjoy throughout the season. However, it’s rare for anyone to buy hundreds of oranges in one go, except for one person. Curious to know who that person is? Well, it’s the character we often encounter in our Mathematics textbooks, who loads their cart with an absurd number of fruits, vegetables, and other goods, making the questions more challenging. Now, if you’ve always wondered about encountering such a person in real life, Nagaland Minister Temjen Imna Along seems to have found him.

The minister took to Twitter to share a photo of a car completely filled with oranges, with its trunk wide open. The caption humorously stated, “Finally found the guy from our Maths textbooks who bought 1000 oranges for no reason…”. Take a look:

The post struck a chord with many users on the platform and garnered reactions. One user jokingly commented, “Well, now we have to extract juice from 250 oranges and calculate their ratio.”

Another person shared, “Ours was less well off; he would just buy 2 kg and ask us to calculate the price if one orange weighing 90 gms is worth 3 rupees.”

“But it’s quadtrillion oranges,” a comment read.

“But he would also buy mangoes and a few other random fruits!” added another person.

One user said, “No, you got it wrong, he has mixed it with red apples. He is asking what is the probability of taking an apple every 20th time”.

This person even created a math problem: “A man bought 1000 oranges. He ate 250 of them. How many oranges does he have left?”
