In the tweet by Ted Lasso’s official account, the image accompanying the tweet shows actor Jason Sudeikis in his Ted Lasso getup getting digitally scanned. EA Sports FIFA also replied to the tweet with a side-eye emoji which further added to the possibility of a crossover
“Look out, Mario! You’re not the only pixelated man with a moustache who never knows where the tube is taking him…”, says the tweet.

For those not in the know, Ted Lasso is a multiple Emmy award-winning sports comedy on Apple TV+ where Jason Sudeikis plays the role of an American football college coach who gets hired to train a fictional second-tier English football club AFC Richmond, with hilarious events following. Now, there have been leaks pointing to the inclusion of the fictional football club in FIFA 23 as a playable team. If that is the case, then more of the Ted Lasso cast could come to the game apart from Sudeikis.
FIFA 23 was accidentally made available on Xbox by EA Sports last month and before the company could take the necessary steps to block access, players who had purchased the Ultimate Edition of the game took screen grabs, some of which were posted online. These included screenshots of the AFC Richmond club, player ratings and third kits for Atlético Madrid.
and Liverpool FC.
Also, AFC Richmond was briefly listed on the EA’s FIFA ratings database before being removed last week. FIFA 23 comes out on September 30 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
