Tata Neu: Everything that the new ‘super’ app offers – Times of India

Tata Neu, the all-in-one ‘super’ app from Tata Group is finally live. The app was earlier available on Play Store and Apple App Store for free, however, the access was referral only and that too was limited to Tata corporate members.
Now, the service is live for everyone and users can simply download the app or visit the website and log in using their phone number and OTP.
The new app from the company is likely to offer users a one-stop solution for all their digital needs from shopping, travelling, payments and more. Also, the new platform is likely to take on the likes of Amazon and Flipkart.
But, first, let’s get started with the basics.
What is Tata Neu?
Tata Group owns several other brands from across the world and the Tata Neu is the flagship platform, developed by Tata Digital, aiming to bring them together in a single location. What this means is that the app will provide access to Tata’s all services and brands including Chrome, BigBasket, 1mg, Air Asia and more.
Tata Pay
Tata has also announced Tata Pay, a UPI-based payment system similar to Amazon Pay, GPay or BHIM. The service works in a similar way as the other UPI payments apps and allows users to send money, make payments via a phone number or scanning the QR code.
Tata Neu rewards
Tata Neu also includes a rewards system where buyers will earn ‘NeuCoins’ every time they buy something via the platform. Also, according to the app, the value of NeuCoins will be equivalent to the rupee (1 NeuCoin = Re 1) and it can be used as currency when making a purchase.
Services offered by Tata Neu
As of now, Tata Neu includes most of the Tata-owned services providing users to buy anything and everything they want from groceries, electronics, mobiles, clothes, beauty products, book flights and hotels, order food, medicines, watch movies and shows and more.

Currently, the app includes Air Asia, BigBasket, Croma, IHCL, Qmin, Starbucks, Tata 1Mg, Tata CLIQ, Tata Play and Westside.
Upcoming services on Tata Neu
In future, the platform will also offer services from Vistara, Air India, Titan, Tanishq, Tata Motors and more.
NeuPass
NeuPass is a premium membership-like option somewhat similar to Amazon Prime or Flipkart Plus membership. It is currently in the ‘Coming Soon’ stage. However, the app confirms that the members will get more rewards and benefits.
The ‘Know more’ page for NeuPass mentions, “NeuPass is a power-packed membership program that offers you a wide range of benefits and privileges. Earn a minimum 5% NeuCoins every time you shop on Tata Neu. Select Tata Pay as a payment method at checkout to use your NeuCoins.”
Deals, discounts and offers
The platform integrates lots of other services. It also offers deals and discount benefits for customers. For example, users can save up to 50% on hotel bookings, a flat 10% on buying items from luxury sections and more.
The Stories section
The app also includes a dedicated Stories section at the bottom ribbon. This section contains curated content like buying guides, IPL stories, trends from several regions, travel guides and more. The section also has categories like Tech bulletin, Travel diaries, Fashion Journal and Food digest.
