Step inside Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal’s neutral, British design-inspired home with superhero figurines and more

Actors Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal got married last year and have already made themselves a cosy little home. They often share pictures and videos from their house on social media and today, we bring you a tour. Their house is bathed in neutral tones and only the most classic design elements. Anushka and Aditya’s home doesn’t have any colours that could be too striking. There are beige, peach or oatmeal-coloured walls complemented by similar, soft, oak-toned wood work. The entry door is a light peach with a cute seal (perhaps a pun on their last name) in neon light, greeting you at the door. The foyer is laid with grey tile while the rest of the house has wood flooring.

The living space includes a plush grey cloud sofa and a couple of wood chairs with lamps and other decor in more neutral colours. Speaking to Hello magazine, Anushka said she is ‘obsessed with Pinterest’. “What I wanted to achieve was very serene, soft space when I come home because as everyone knows, Bombay life is very hectic and really loud,” she said. Anushka added that she ‘took a little bit of inspiration from international homes, British homes.’

The stairs leading upstairs are in oak wood with a cluster of similarly-toned light hanging from the ceiling. Their superhero figurines are also on full display, and an Iron Man helmet also made an appearance in one of their photos.

The kitchen is again very monochromatic. There’s a backsplash of white subway tiles with white cabinets and ‘greige’ countertop. All areas are divided in the house with walls of fluted glass with black metal panelling. 

Anushka and Aditya got married on November 21. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he talked about how life has changed after marriage: “Things are exactly the same. I don’t feel any difference, also because I got a house in Anushka’s building before the wedding, right in the next wing. For last six-eight months we have been doing the house together. She had been coming here for all day long, now it just feels like she has a different place to sleep, and that’s all.”

While Aditya is known for films such as Tum Bin 2, Student of the Year 2 and Indoo Ki Jawaani, Anushka has acted in Wedding Pullav and Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
