Sonos has announced the expansion of its home theatre line-up with the debut of Sonos Ray, a compact soundbar. The device will be available in India from September at a price tag of Rs 37,999.
The soundbar comes with a new bass reflex system with a proprietary design. Like all Sonos speakers, Ray was tuned with the input of the Sonos Soundboard, a collection of leaders across music, film and more. Users can fine-tune the sound further with Trueplay to create a personalised music experience.
Sonos Ray comes with Speech Enhancement technology that is meant to give greater clarity so that the user does not miss a word. Then there is the Night Sound tech to reduce the intensity of loud effects.
As per Sonos, the new soundbar is compatible with “all of your favourite” streaming services. The soundbar can be controlled with your existing TV remote, the Sonos app, Apple AirPlay 2 and more. Users can also add a pair of Ones to your home theatre setup for surround sound or connect to any Sonos speaker for multi-room listening.
Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos, said: “Homes have become movie theatres, fitness studios, gaming hubs and so much more, all supported by a streaming era that is no longer exclusive to just TV, music and film. Ray makes it easier than ever to enhance those listening experiences, thanks to its smaller size and impressive sound.”
