Sony WF-1000XM5 premium earbuds launch date revealed, design teased
Sony is finally unveiling an update to its WF-1000XM4 earbuds after two years of long wait. The brand has now teased a global launch date for the premium TWS. The unveiling of the Sony WF-1000XM5 is less than a week away from now.
The Japanese electronic company teased the upcoming earbuds in a tweet. The image also revealed the launch date of the Sony WF-1000XM5, which is set for July 24th. The design of the upcoming device is no secret thanks to an earlier leak. When it comes to the features, we expect a greater focus on Active Noise Cancellation capabilities.
The new earbuds will weigh 5.9g and feature Sony’s 8.4mm large “Dynamic Driver X.” There are two custom processors on board with dual feedback microphones for environment-adaptive noise cancellation. Three microphones on each earbud will support Precise Voice Pickup tech and bone conduction sensors. The earbuds will feature Hi-Res Audio and DSEE Extreme standards.
Sony XM-1000XM5’s case features a 500mAh battery pack and allows 24 hours of total battery life. Bluetooth 5.3 will power multi-point connections while the body is also IPX4 water-resistant. Touch control is expected to be borrowed from its predecessor and fast charging will enable full charge in just 2 hours. We do not have any pricing or availability details for the device yet. Sony India has not revealed any plans for a launch in the market yet.
