The Simple One premium electric scooter competes with the likes of the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube ST and the Hero Vida V1. The Bengaluru-based EV startup will comply with the Automotive Industry Standards (AIS) amendment 3 which has been rolled out by the Indian Government to standardise battery safety protocols and to prevent fiery mishaps. In the recent past, the Indian EV space has been wretched with many fatal incidents which involved battery-related fires.
Simple One electric scooter price in India
The Simple One electric scooter was first unveiled on August 15th, 2021, and was priced at Rs 1,09,999. Later a higher-spec model was introduced and carried an indicative price tag of Rs 1,44,999. The electric scooter has been up for booking since and can be reserved for a refundable price of Rs 1,947.
However, prices of the Simple One electric scooter can be revised when it launches officially on May 23rd 2023.
Simple One electric scooter specifications
The Simple One electric scooter gets an 8.5 kW motor which can provide a peak torque of 72 Nm. This is paired with a 4.8 kWh Lithium-ion battery unit which also comes with fast charging support. The EV was showcased in two variants with 236km and 300km of claimed range on offer. The scooter is also expected to offer connected tech, a combi braking system, LED lighting, alloy wheels, disc brakes, etc.
