Sidharth Malhotra greets PM Narendra Modi with folded hands at Vijay Diwas Jashn: ‘It was truly an honour’

Actor Sidharth Malhotra was invited at the Vijay Diwas Jashn 2022. On Tuesday, he posted pictures from the event, which was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. Sidharth wrote, “It was truly an honour and such an incredible experience for me to be invited for the Vijay Diwas Jashn, by the Chief of Army. To top it all, to be in the esteemed company of The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu and Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi ji was even more special!”

“Interacting with the real heroes of our country, filled me with pride and so much emotion that this day is a memory I truly will cherish forever Big love and respect,” he added. In the picture, Sidharth and PM Modi are seen greeting each other with folded hands at the event.

Reacting to the post, a fan commented, “What a proud moment.” Another one wrote, “Well deserved.” Someone also commented, “For the first time, Modi ji is not looking at camera. Great job, Sid!”

On the 51st Vijay Diwas, Sidharth Malhotra unveiled the teaser of his upcoming espionage thriller Mission Majnu, which will release on Netflix. In the film, he plays a spy who can do anything for ‘Hindustan ki hifaazat’. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna.

Taking to Twitter, the actor posted the over one-minute-long video teaser of Mission Majnu. He captioned the post, “Iss Majnu ke kaam karne ka tarika alag hai (The style of working of this Majnu is different). Presenting the Official Teaser for MISSION MAJNU Only on Netflix, 20th Jan, 2023.”

Directed by Shantanu Bagchi, the film will stream on Netflix from January 20, 2023. It is said to be inspired by true events. Earlier, it was scheduled to hit the screens in June. Besides Sidharth and Rashmika, the film also stars Kumud Mishra, Parmeet Sethi, Sharib Hashmi, Mir Sarwar and Zakir Hussain in key roles.

Sidharth also has Yodha alongside Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna in the pipeline. The film is backed by Karan Johar under his banner, Dharma Productions.
