Shubman Gill not just scored his maiden Indian Premier League century on Monday, but he also achieved the unique feat of scoring a hundred in the IPL as well as every international format of the game in the same calendar year.
Gill scored 101 off just 58 balls for Gujarat Titans in their home game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The knock helped Gujarat win the game by 34 runs and it booked the defending champions a spot in the playoffs, while knocking Sunrisers Hyderabad out of the race.
Gill started his year by adding himself to a prestigious list of a few who have scored double a hundred in an ODI. Against New Zealand, he scored 208 off 149 balls in Hyderabad.
