Now, on a fine Tuesday morning, Shilpa shared a post on the benefits of jaggery (gur) via her Instagram page named Simple Soulful App. Gur plays an important role in our diet especially during the ongoing winter season when the body needs warmth and nutrition. We often switch to traditional recipes during this time of the year that includes the usage of gur.

The caption read, “Jaggery, also known as “Gur” in Hindi, is a quite popular natural sweetener used as an alternative for sugar.” It further stated that gur has no signs of any kind of fat, so without thinking about excessive fat consumption, you can easily add it to your diet. But avoid its overconsumption especially the ones who have health issues like diabetes.
