Share price of Avenue Supermart rises as Nifty strengthens

Shares of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. gained 0.83 per cent to Rs 4191.0 in Wednesday’s trade as of 12:33PM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 4202.6 and low of Rs 4160.0 during the session.

The return on equity (ROE) for the stock stood at 9.02 per cent. Traded volume on the counter stood at 12:33PM shares and turnover at Rs 2.63 crore around that time. The stock of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 5899.9 and 52-week low prices of Rs 2677.0, respectively.

The stock’s Beta value, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.0.

Promotor/FII Holding

Promoters held 74.99 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2021, while overseas investors held 9.44 per cent and domestic institutional investors had 6.23 per cent.

Key Financials

The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 9243.72 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2021, up 18.26 per cent from previous quarter’s Rs 7816.44 crore and up 21.83 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 7587.32 crore. Net profit after tax for the latest quarter stood at Rs 552.56 crore, up 23.62 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
