NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 6.27 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 4.48 crore), BHEL (number of shares traded: 1.49 crore), Vikas Ecotech (number of shares traded: 1.39 crore), NHPC (number of shares traded: 1.37 crore), Vedanta (number of shares traded: 1.35 crore), Trident Ltd (number of shares traded: 1.19 crore), Zen Tech (number of shares traded: 1.11 crore), NALCO (number of shares traded: 1.05 crore) and PNB (number of shares traded: 1.01 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Thursday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 49.7 points up at 17125.95, while BSE Sensex was up 145.27 points at 57483.48 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 3.25 per cent), Cipla Ltd. (up 2.39 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 2.35 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 2.29 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd. (up 2.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Coal India Ltd. (down 1.49 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (down 0.90 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 0.74 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 0.64 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 0.60 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
