Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput unable to find ‘veg food’ in Sicily; she calls hotel ‘insensitive to dietary requirements’
Actor Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput, who are currently vacationing in Italy, have revealed their difficulties in finding ‘vegetarian food in Sicily’. On her Instagram Stories, Mira Rajput wrote, “Beautiful Sicily. Skip @verduraresortsicily if you’re an Indian or a vegetarian. Limited food options, without an attempt to make a vegetarian feel comforted. Poor linen and dirty sheets… Not one to complain but..let’s keep the list tight… Heading to Palermo! Ciao (victory hand emoji).”
She also wrote, “At a time when veganism is a global movement and an accepted way of life (unlike 5-7 years ago when making anything without egg was unheard of), it’s disappointing when large hotel groups are insensitive to dietary requirements, even when informed in advance. Removing meat from any dish does not make you accommodating. And please–sliced fruit is NOT a dessert.”
Recently, Mira had shared several pictures from Sciacca as she spent time at the beach and feasted on a fruit and cheese platter. She had also shared photos of fruit boxes and flowers. Mira had captioned the post, “Buon Giorno (good morning)”
Ahead of travelling to Italy, Mira, Shahid and their children Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor were in Switzerland. During then, Mira had shared a photo of Indian cuisines, which resembled aaloo-gobhi (potato-cauliflower) and a paneer (cottage chees) dish, laden on a table. She wrote on her Instagram Stories, “After 5 long days. Yes.” She added the song Piya Tu Ab To Aaja as the background music.
Fans will see Shahid in several projects in the coming future. The actor will be seen making his OTT debut with Farzi, which also features Vijay Sethupathi, Raashi Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Regina Cassandra, Zakir Hussain, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Kubbra Sait. He has also collaborated with director Ali Abbas Zafar for an action-entertainer film.
