Shahid Kapoor asks ‘farzi Shahid’ to get lost in hilarious video; fans say he looks more like Himesh Reshammiya. Watch

Trailer for Shahid Kapoor’s OTT debut, Farzi, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi, will be out on January 13. Prime Video’s Farzi, created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, will premiere on February 10, 2023. On Wednesday, Shahid took to Instagram Reels to share a glimpse from the set of ‘fake’ Farzi trailer as he announced the real Farzi trailer would be out soon. In the clip, Shahid was seen scolding ‘Farzi Shahid (fake Shahid)’ for taking his place on the set and filming a farzi (fake) trailer. The video started with the fake Farzi trailer featuring Shahid’s lookalike as he performed action scenes. In the clip, Shahid was then seen walking on to a set, where ‘fake Shahid’ was shooting. The actor then said to the his duplicate in Hindi, “What is going on here?” To which, he replied, “We are shooting the trailer for Farzi.” Shahid looked shocked and said to him. “What did you say? Shooting the trailer for what? My show, Farzi? This is how you are shooting the trailer?”

When his duplicate said sorry, Shahid pushed him away, and said looking into the camera, “This trailer is fake. And this Shahid is also fake. My show is Farzi (fake), no wait, I mean he’s fake. My show is real but it’s called Farzi, which means fake. The real trailer is coming soon.” Shahid then looked around on the set and asked the crew to pack up. He then said,”If I had not shown up here today, I don’t know what would have happened…” Mom Neliima commented on Shahid’s video, “Hehehe nice.” Brother Ishaan Khatter wrote, “Ded (dead).” He added a laughing emoji to his comment. A comment also read, “Sorry, but he (fake Shahid) looked more like (singer and music composer) Himesh Reshammiya than Shahid Kapoor!!!”

The crime thriller Farzi will premiere on Prime Video on February 10, 2023. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, the web series marks the OTT debut of both the actors. The posters released earlier this month show Shahid as a conman, while Vijay is the law enforcement officer trying to track him down.
