Shah Rukh Khan is enjoying the dream run of Pathaan, which has created history at the box office.

Pathaan marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen after four years. The action-spy film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, has a cameo appearance by Salman Khan.

Unlike the usual tropes followed by movies for promotions, such as interviews and public events and press conferences, Pathaan has relied on social media for publicity.

From sharing the trailer online to uploading small videos to generate excitement, the Yash Raj Films team has made the right use of social media.

Shah Rukh Khan too has been regular with his #AskSRK sessions on Twitter. He did it a day before release, and the day after it. And another one today. While the sessions have been impromptu, Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are getting some witty and honest answers from the superstar.

So, when a fan asked Shah Rukh Khan about his competition with Salman Khan, the actor called his contemporary and close friend GOAT.

The fan said, “Sir Pathaan tho hit ho gyi lekin Salman Khan ka muqabla nhi kr paoge box-office pe #AskSRK.” To which he replied, “Salman bhai is…woh kya kehte hain aaj kal…young log…haan….GOAT. ( greatest of all time ) #Pathaan.”

There was another mention of Salman Khan when a user told Shah Rukh Khan that he is a Salman Khan fan but watching Pathaan has made his an SRK fan as well.

The tweet reads, “amazing Mindblowing Fantabolous Never Seen Before Avtar Gaya Tha Tiger Ka Fan Banke Aaaya Pathaan Ka Fan Banke.”

SRK called himself a Salman fan in the reply. He wrote, “Tiger ka toh main bhi fan hoon bhai….bas unke saath mujhe bhi dil mein rakho bas.”

During the interaction, the King Khan expressed his happiness about the audience enjoying the movie. Another fan pointed out the record breaking box office numbers of the film, but Shah Rukh said he is not concerned about the money the movie makes.

“Bhai numbers phone ke hote hain…hum toh khushi ginte hain…#Pathaan (Brother, numbers are for phone… I count the happiness.)” he said.

“Pathaan”, which released on Wednesday, has raised Rs 313 crore worldwide till now.

The film also features John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.

‘Pathaan’ follows the titular spy (Shah Rukh) who comes out of exile to stop terrorist group Outfit X, led by Jim (Abraham), from launching a debilitating attack on India.

It is the fourth film in producer Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe, following Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012) and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017), and ‘War’, featuring Hrithik Roshan (2019).
