Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik were spotted ‘kissing’ at dinner together, spark dating rumours

Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik sparked dating rumours after they were recently spotted out for dinner together in New York City. The duo was also spotted kissing according to reports. The speculation about the two first began when TikTok user @klarissa.mpeg shared screenshots of a text exchange with a friend of hers in a now viral video, who went on to claim that she was the pair’s hostess at an unnamed restaurant in the city. She also claimed that she saw both Zayn Malik and Selena Gomez at their dinner, while they were holding hands.

Now, as per a report by Entertainment Tonight, Selena was spotted with the former One Direction member on a dinner date in New York City on Thursday night. As per the eyewitness who told the outlet, “Selena and Zayn went out in SoHo in New York City last night at around 10:30 pm. They walked in holding hands and were kissing. Most restaurant staff and restaurant goers didn’t notice them. It seemed like they were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date.”

Selena recently became the first woman to reach 400 million followers on Instagram, surpassing Kylie Jenner (who has 382 million followers), which made her the most-followed woman on the social media platform. “Wish I could hug all 400 million of you,” she wrote to celebrate her milestone on her recent Instagram post. This came ahead of the ongoing ‘eyebrow’ controversy between her and Hailey Bieber, the wife of Selena’s ex, Justin Bieber. Selena broke her silence on the rumours and condemned the death threats that were pitted on Hailey. Both Selena and Hailey are now following each other on Instagram. Hailey also released a statement on her Instagram Stories which said, “Things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself.”

Meanwhile, neither Selena nor Zayn have confirmed their relationship. Zayn Malik has a daughter, Khai, with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid. Zayn and Gigi broke up in October last year following an altercation between Zayn and Gigi’s mother Yolanda Hadid. Selena, who was recently linked to The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart, made a TikTok last week to update on her relationship status to say that she is single. She lip-synced to an audio that said, “I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my gosh, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.’ Girl, my crush doesn’t even exist!” In the caption, she wrote, “Still out here lookin for him lol.”
