Samsung’s new gaming monitors include built-in cloud gaming services – Times of India
Samsung has showcased four new gaming monitors under its Odyssey series at the Gamescom event today. The new range of gaming monitors from the company not only brings some regular gaming features like high refresh rate support, curved display and better response time, but they also come with a built-in Samsung Gaming Hub.
They are the first gaming monitors from the company to come with Gaming Hub built-in. For those who don’t know Gaming Hub is Samsung’s new take on cloud gaming. It’s not like a standalone platform but it offers integration to other cloud gaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, Stadia, etc.
The new gaming monitors also come with built-in support for cloud gaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, Amazon Luna, GeForce Now and Google Stadia. The monitors will allow users to directly stream and play gaming without attaching them to a gaming console, laptop or PC.
While Samsung hasn’t revealed the complete details of its new Odyssey-series monitors, it has certainly revealed a couple of important details. For starters, the Odyssey G70B comes in two screen sizes — 27-inch and 32-inch. It comes with an IPS LCD panel with 4K support, 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms gray-to-gray response time.
The Odyssey 65B, on the other hand, comes with a 1000R curved panel with 1ms response time, 240Hz refresh rate and it is available in 27-inch and 32-inch screen sizes.
