Samsung working on a Galaxy Home Mini 2 smart speaker with display: Report – Times of India

0

Samsung is reportedly working on its second smart speaker — Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2. The smart speaker will succeed the Galaxy Home Mini. According to a report by Sammobile, the upcoming smart speaker may come with a display, making it more of a smart display than just a smart speaker.
The device is said to carry the model number SM-V320. There is no information about the design and the shape of the Galaxy Home Mini 2. But it is rumoured that the device may have a design similar to the Google Home Hub or like the Galaxy Home Mini but with a speaker embedded on top.
The original Samsung Galaxy Home smart speaker was first announced in 2018. Unfortunately, the smart speaker was only available in South Korea and was never made available to other markets. Its smaller sibling – the Galaxy Home Mini was also limited to the company’s home country only. As per the report, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 will also be exclusive to the South Korean market.
Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S22 has received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. According to a tipster, a Samsung device with model number SM-S901E/DS and SM-S901B/DS was spotted on the BIS website. The device is said to be the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone. According to SamMobile, the ‘E’ suffix at the end of the model number suggests that the Indian variant of the smartphone could sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch the Samsung Galaxy S22 series in February next year. The series is said to offer Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ and top of the line Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
