samsung: Samsung partners with Nifty Gateway to develop the first-ever smart TV NFT platform – Times of India
Samsung has announced its collaboration with Nifty Gateway, a crypto platform owned by Gemini to develop the first-ever smart TV NFT platform. This platform will allow users to browse and purchase non-fungible tokens on their Samsung TVs. Users will be able to buy, sell and hold NFTs directly from their Samsung TV.
Samsung’s NFT platform will be integrated with the Nifty Gateway on its 2022 QLED and Neo QLED premium TVs. The company will also provide a standalone app for NFT trading on Samsung’s The Frame and MicroLED TVs.
The partnership between Samsung and Nifty Gateway will enable users to browse, display and interact with NFTs on their Samsung TVs. The platform will let users access over 6,000 pieces of digital art and collectables from artists like Daniel Arsham, Pak and more.
NIfty Gateway verifies all the digital art that is minted through it to ensure quality content for its customers. Here, users can also store their NFTs in a secure Nifty Gateway Omnibus Wallet if they prefer. Moreover, customers will also have flexibility in paying for their purchases. You can either use your debit or credit cards and even cryptocurrency to purchase NFTs.
Duncan Cock Foster, the co-founder of Nifty Gateway shared more details about the partnership with Samsung during the announcement. He mentioned Nifty Gateway aims to bring NFTs to “a billion people.” He also added, “We are committed to making NFTs accessible and NFT purchasing more seamless than ever before.”
Samsung is already a part of another partnership with this social NFT platform. The company’s venture capital division, Samsung Next, is an investor in Nifty. Samsung’s next event will reveal more about its partnership with Nifty Gateway.
