Samsung has recently expanded its portfolio with the launch of its latest flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S23 lineup at an event in San Francisco, US. At this event, the South Korea-based tech giant also globally unveiled its premium laptop lineup, the Galaxy Book 3 series. However, the company hasn’t expanded its TWS earbuds lineup yet. Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds 2 more than a year ago and hasn’t added a successor to the lineup yet. According to a report by Sammobile, the company is emphasising improving its existing TWS earbuds. Samsung has reportedly released a new firmware update for the Galaxy Buds 2 earbuds.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 new update: What is it
Samsung’s latest update for the Galaxy Buds 2 comes with the firmware version R177XXU0AWA3 which has been rolled out in South Korea. As per the update’s changelog, the latest software update has a size of 3.06MB. This update claims to improve the charging stability of the Galaxy Buds 2. Samsung is expected to release the update in more countries in the coming days.
How to get the update
To update Galaxy Buds 2 to the latest firmware, users need to select the Galaxy Buds 2 from the left hamburger menu in the Galaxy Wearable app. Once the Galaxy Buds 2 are connected to the smartphone, users need to click on the Earbud Settings and then go to the Earbuds software update section. Here users need to tap on the Download and install option to get the latest update.

Samsung is expected to unveil the successor to the Galaxy Buds 2 by the second half of 2023. The company is likely to unveil the Galaxy Buds 3 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable smartphones. Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is currently priced at Rs 7,999 at the company’s official website.
