Samsung has started testing a new version of OneUI, its custom user interface that runs on the top of the Android operating system on Galaxy smartphones. The latest version is One UI 5 and it appears that Samsung is working on a new version of the UI ahead of the Galaxy S23 series launch, reports SamMobile
According to the report, Samsung has reportedly started testing the One UI 5.1 update based on Android 13. SamMobile has spotted the tweet via @SamSWUpdate which claims that Samsung is testing One UI 5.1. As per the report, an update with version number S90xEXXU2CVL7 is being tested for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones.
The new version of One UI does not exactly signify that it’s One UI 5.1. As of now, when Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S23 series which is expected to launch with One UI 5.1 out of the box, it is safe to assume that the company is testing it ahead of the official release.

As far as Samsung Galaxy S23 series is concerned, Samsung is expected to announce them on February 1, 2023. The smartphones — Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ — are likely to get a new design with standalone camera modules similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. While Galaxy S23 Ultra is also expected to feature a new flat design compared to Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Reports have also confirmed that the handsets will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will offer better heat management than its predecessor.
