Samsung Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 battery, fast charging specs tipped
When it comes to battery capacity, the Galaxy S24+ and Ultra are said to pack a 5,000mAh battery. This remains unchanged from the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series stacked batteries
Samsung is planning to use stacked batteries in the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra, according to tipster RGcloudS. Stacking, as opposed to winding technology that is currently in use, helps improve charging and performance as well and is the same technology that is used in EVs. Apple’s iPhone 15 series is also using stacked batteries, according to the tipster.
However, this will be limited to the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra due to limited production. There’s also a possibility that it might even be reserved only for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This could mean that the Galaxy S24 will continue with 25W fast charging but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
The tipster adds that on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the stacked batteries will come with a cooling gel so that there’s less heat dissipation from the phone. There’s still no confirmation though as Samsung is currently running tests, and it would take some time to finalise on which models this battery tech will be used.
Samsung is currently prepping for its next Unpacked event scheduled to take place on July 26th. It’s where Samsung will unveil its next-gen foldables, most likely the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. We could see more devices including the Galaxy Tab S8 series, new Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch as well.
