Samsung Galaxy S22 reportedly gets BIS certification – Times of India

Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch the Samsung Galaxy S22 series in February next year. The series includes Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ and top of the line Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The lineup is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S21 series that was launched by the company in the beginning of 2021. Although the company has not revealed any details about the upcoming smartphones, most of the details have already been leaked online in various leaks. Now, according to tipser Mukul Sharma, the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S22 has also got the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification.
The tipster has spotted a Samsung device with model number SM-S901E/DS and SM-S901B/DS on the BIS website and it claims to be the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone. According to SamMobile, the ‘E’ suffix at the end of the model number suggests that the Indian variant of the smartphone could sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
Earlier this week, known tipster Ice Universe revealed the display size and camera details of Samsung Galaxy S22 and Samsung Galaxy S22+. According to the tipster, the Galaxy S22 will have a screen size of 6.06-inches while the Galaxy S22+ will feature a bigger 6.55-inch screen. This means that the smartphones will sport a smaller design when compared to Galaxy S21 and S21+ with 6.2-inch screen and 6.7-inch screen respectively.
When it comes to camera, the tipster reveals that the both the smartphone will feature a triple camera setup in the rear consisting of a 50MP primary lens, a 10MP telephoto lens with support for 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra wide angle camera. The tipster previously revealed that the smartphones will sport 10MP selfie camera. as seen on Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy S21+.
