Samsung Galaxy S22 FE cancelled as per reports, but let’s not be too sure

Samsung Galaxy S22 FE launch reportedly cancelled

According to an exclusive report by Sammobile, Samsung appears to be finding it difficult to place the FE in its ever-expanding portfolio of smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which was supposed to launch last year, got delayed several times, and it finally saw the light of the day earlier this year in January, almost a year after the original Galaxy S21 series smartphones were launched.

Right after the release of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung unveiled its latest flagship Samsung Galaxy S22 series of smartphones, which did not help the sales of the device a single bit. All this must have forced Samsung to take the decision of scraping the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE for good.

As per the report, the model number of the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE is still nowhere to be found, which again double-checks the speculation that the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE might not launch. There is no certification listing that the device has visited so far, which questions its existence entirely. Readers must be made aware that each smartphone has to undergo numerous certification and registration processes before it can hit the commercial shelves. All this adds up, and those waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE might have to face nothing but disappointment.

Samsung Galaxy S22 FE just delayed?

All said and done, all hope is certainly not lost, as a similar set of leaks, rumours, and speculations kept popping up about the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE last year and, despite all that, the device did launch, albeit later than expected. Hence, we would not like to rule out the possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE may also go a similar route and just have a delayed launch, instead of being cancelled out altogether. Therefore, we need to take this report with a slight grain of salt till the time Samsung confirms the same.

The FE series was hugely popular when it released back in 2020 as a stripped-down version of its then flagship, the Samsung Galaxy F20 series. It brought the most important specs of the Galaxy S20 flagship lineup (which cost $999 then) at a price of just $699.
