Samsung Galaxy S21 FE gets a new launch date: could this be it? | 91mobiles.com

Although Samsung has scheduled its Unpacked Part 2 even on October 20th, in the week which also happens to be dotted with events from Apple and Google, signs of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launching are slim.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE could launch on January 11th

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE’s fate has been riddled with uncertainty for a long time now. Despite Samsung’s Unpacked Part 2 event being held on October 20th, there is no sign of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. A big chunk of the problem can be blamed on the global chip shortage. Samsung has been channelising its silicon to higher-end products such as the recently launched foldable stable, the Samsung Galaxy Flip 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Fold 3. These new cutting-edge devices have also garnered some attention and the market response has consequently motivated to keep the silicon flow towards the products.

Multiple sources including the like of Jon Posser, the popular tipster and YouTuber at Front Page Tech, have suggested that Samsung is likely to postpone the unveiling of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and will start mass production by December. Tipster Max Weinbach tweeted that the budget flagship from the Korean manufacturer can be expected in January 2022. While the consensus strongly suggests January 2022 launch, Jon Posser has gone on to claim that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be launched on January 11th 2022.

The situation on Samsung’s end seems to be sketchy. Samsung’s Galaxy S21 flagship series debuted early this year, making this the perfect time to extend the lineup with the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. Further on, the 2022 lineup of Samsung’s flagship, possibly the Galaxy S22, usually launches early next year. Launching the Galaxy S21 FE as late as January could also push back the launch of the new generation Samsung flagship.
