As per the listing, the Galaxy F42 comes with Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset (MT6833) paired with Mali G57 GPU and 8GB RAM. The smartphone features a display with a resolution of 1080×2009 pixels and a screen density of 450ppi. The smartphone runs Android 11, expectedly with One UI 3.0 skin.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Flipkart listing has confirmed that the handset will come with an FHD+ 90Hz display, which is likely to be an AMOLED panel, measuring 6.6-inch diagonally. The display will bear an Infinity-V notch atop that is tipped to house an 8MP camera unit for selfies and video calling. In addition to the 8GB RAM pairing the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, the handset could also come with 6GB RAM. The handset is likely to employ 128GB storage onboard.
