Samsung Galaxy A54 could arrive sooner than you expected, renders surface online | Digit

Earlier this year, the South-Korean tech giant Samsung revealed a mid-range smartphone called the Galaxy A53. It succeeded one of the company’s most popular models, the Galaxy A52s. Although Galaxy A53 does not run on a Snapdragon processor, like the A52s, it features a 6.5-inch sAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 64MP quad camera setup and is available in India from Rs. 31,999 on Samsung’s official website.

Galaxy A54 could arrive in January 2023

Per the latest report by GSMArena, Samsung is working on the successor of the Galaxy A53. The publication has learnt from popular leakster OnLeaks that Galaxy A53’s successor, i.e., Galaxy A54, could arrive earlier than expected. While the Galaxy A53 was revealed in March 2022, the Galaxy A54 could hit the market as soon as January 2023.

Ahead of the launch, renders of the Galaxy A54 have also surfaced on the internet. At first glance, the smartphone looks exactly like the previous model. It seems to have a punch-hole display in the front with nearly equal bezels on all sides and a triple camera setup on the back.

In terms of design, the differentiating factor between the two smartphones seems to be the cameras on the rear. The Galaxy A53 has a rectangular island that houses all four sensors on its back. In contrast, renders suggest that the Galaxy A54 won’t have a camera island. Instead, all three lenses will protrude from the back, as they do on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The Galaxy A54 could come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, which makes it a tad smaller than the 6.5-inch display of the Galaxy A53. Although, the refresh rate and the resolution of the display remain the same, i.e., 120Hz and FHD+, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy A54 could feature a 50 MP triple camera setup

Rumour also has it that the Galaxy A54 will ship with a 50 MP primary camera instead of the 64MP primary camera on the Galaxy A53. Additionally, as seen in the renders, the smartphone has a USB-C port at the bottom, a speaker grill to its right and the primary microphone to its left.

Last but not least, the Galaxy A54 could come with a 5,100 mAh battery. The smartphone has already bagged a 3C certification, which indicates that the company is nearing the final development stages.
