The Samsung Galaxy A22 4G is an upcoming affordable smartphone that has been leaked multiple times in the last few weeks. Samsung is expected to reveal two Galaxy A22 variants very soon, in both 4G and 5G trims. Both devices will reportedly use MediaTek chipsets, with the 4G variant using the Helio G80 SoC. Now, the device has been spotted on the Indonesia Telecom website, hinting at an imminent launch. The South Korean manufacturer, however, hasn’t revealed any details on the phone or provided a launch date yet.

Samsung Galaxy A22 4G specifications

The listing on Indonesia Telecom website doesn’t reveal any major details regarding the phone, but then it doesn’t have to. Thanks to all the leaks and rumours, a lot of the key Samsung Galaxy A22 4G specifications are already known. The phone has appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification platform as well as Geekbench, revealing some key specifications.

We know that the phone carries the model number SM-A225F, which has once again been confirmed via the Indonesia Telecom listing. Apart from that, the recent Geekbench listing revealed that the phone is using a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, which is paired with 6GB RAM. It also showed that the device is running Android 11 OS, most likely with the OneUI 3.1 update.

It’ll get a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel main shooter, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide, and dual 2-megapixel sensors. It’s also expected to feature a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
