Samsung confirms Indian launch date of Galaxy A23 5G, Galaxy A14 5G: Key specs revealed – Times of India

Samsung recently confirmed the dates of its first major event — Samsung Galaxy Unpacked. The South Korea-based tech giant is expected to launch its next-gen premium smartphone lineup — the Samsung Galaxy S23 series at an event on February 1. Now, the company has officially announced the dates of another smartphone launch event. Samsung India has recently shared a new post on its Twitter account to announce the launch dates of two new A-series smartphones.
According to the tweet, Samsung Galaxy A23 5G and Galaxy A14 5G will debut in India on January 18. The company also posted a few teasers recently to reveal the launch date of the Galaxy A14 5G and the Galaxy A23 5G. These social media posts have also confirmed some of the key features of the Galaxy A23 smartphone which has been available in the global market since August 2022.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G, Galaxy A14 5G: Launch date, time and price
Samsung will launch the Galaxy A23 5G and the Galaxy A14 5G smartphones at 12 pm on January 18 in India. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy A23 5G phone is likely to cost Rs 23,999. Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the Galaxy A14 5G is expected to come out with a price tag of Rs 16,499.
Samsung Galaxy A23 5G: Confirmed specs and features
The company has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G will sport a waterdrop notch display that will support a 120Hz refresh rate. Another Twitter post claims that the upcoming smartphone will support optical image stabilisation (OIS) for photography. Samsung is expected to release a few more teasers before it launches the phone.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G: Key specs (global variant)
Samsung Galaxy A23 5G which is available in other markets outside India features a 6.6-inch PLS LCD screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
For optics, the phone houses a quad-rear camera setup which includes a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 2MP depth unit and a 2MP macro snapper. The phone will also house an 8MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. The global variant of Samsung Galaxy A23 5G also packs a 5,000mAh battery unit that supports 25W fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy A14 5G: Expected specs
The Galaxy A14 5G smartphone is likely to sport a 6.6-inch IPS LCD that may support a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to be powered by a Dimensity 700 SoC backed by up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

For photography, the Galaxy A14 5G smartphone is rumoured to house a triple rear camera setup that may consist of a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro unit and a 2MP depth shooter. The phone is also likely to have a 13MP front snapper for selfies and video calls.
Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is also speculated to pack a 5000mAh battery unit that may support 18W charging and may feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
