Samsung begins rolling out One UI 4.0 beta for Galaxy Note 20 series – Times of India
Samsung has expanded its Android 12 based One UI 4 beta program to the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra phones. This comes a day after the beta was announced for Samsung Galaxy S20 family. So far, One UI 4 beta program was available on Samsung Galaxy S21 and the foldable phones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
According to a report by Sammobile, the beta program for Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is currently available in the UK. It may soon go live in other markets, including China, Germany, India, South Korea, and the US.
With the One UI 4.0, Samsung users will get improved stock apps, Material You dynamic colour themes, lock screen widgets, dedicated quick settings toggles for switching off camera and microphone access and new widget designs. Samsung says that the update offers enhanced security and privacy of the devices.
Those interested can enroll themselves on the program by installing the Samsung Members app. After downloading the app, users will be required to log in using their Samsung account. Here, they can tap on the One UI Beta Program banner on the home page.
One UI 4.0 changelog
Samsung’s One UI 4.0 brings new widgets, an improved widget design language, and even a new style for the widget picker. With the new update, the company has simplified the camera app’s UI design. It has also enabled the Portrait Mode for pets, increased Single Take’s capture time limit, and enhanced the document scanning. Improvements also come to apps and features like Always-On Display, AR Emoji, Bixby, Bixby Routines, Calendar, Dark Mode, Device Care, Gallery, Image Editor, My Files, and Samsung Health.
