Salman Khan and Riteish Deshmukh dance with glasses in their pockets in Marathi song Ved Lavlay. Watch

Salman Khan joined Riteish Deshmukh for a very special appearance on his directorial debut Ved. The actor, once again, made an exception for Riteish and danced with him on the song Ved Lavlay. Salman features as Bhau in the Marathi song and gives friendly advice to Riteish’s character. Previously, he had made a cameo in Lai Bhaari (2014) which also starred Riteish. The Marathi song Ved Lavlay has been composed and written by Ajay – Atul. Vishal Dadlani and Ajay Gogavale have sung the track, with the former lending his voice to Salman and Ajay to Riteish. The song opens with Salman making an entrance, sporting his now familiar blue and silver bracelet. He then grabbed and wore a maroon checkered shirt over his blue T-shirt and jeans.

He meets Ritiesh who is wearing a dark shirt with jeans and seems low. In the number, Bhau keeps asking him what’s wrong and gives him advice on the woman in his life, played by Genelia Deshmukh, who he keeps ignoring. Ved Lavlay ends with both Salman and Genelia giving each other knowing nods, while Riteish remains clueless.

The most memorable part of the song is when the duo have glasses in their back pockets and get them filled. They do a little jig with the filled glasses and then grab each other’s drink. The comments on Twitter had fans of Salman and Riteish tuning in to praise the song. One person noted, “Super fun & entertaining song!!! It’s winning hearts not only for the song itself but for you and SK combo and style in it.” Another fan added, “Bhai and bhau superhit song….lovely (okay hand emojis).” While another fan said, “Your Bhau is Love Guru #SalmanKhan (heart-eye emoji) #VedLavlay.”

The teaser of the song was released on Saturday, for Ritiesh’s birthday. Salman had written while sharing the video on his Instagram post, “Bhau cha birthday aahe (It’s Bhau’s birthday) – @riteishd Gift to Banta hai. Enjoy.” Riteish had commented back, “Bhau my dearest Bhau – I have no words to express how much I love you (green hearts emojis).”

Ved will release in theatres in December. Jiya Shankar, Ashok Saraf, and Shubhankar Tawde are also part of the film. The film also marks Genelia’s debut in Marathi films.
