Sagar Rana murder: Sushil Kumar’s friend Prince to turn government approver, big blow to Olympic medallist

In another blow to 2-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar, his close friend Prince has agreed to turn approver for the government in the Sagar Rana murder case.

Sushil Kumar’s close friend Prince, who was present during the Chhatrasal stadium brawl along with the 2-time Olympic medallist, has agreed to turn government approver in the Sagar Rana murder case.

According to the police, the brawl took place between Sushil Kumar and Ajay, Prince, Sonu, Sagar Rana, Amit and others in the parking area of Chhatrasal Stadium on May 4. Sushil even asked Prince to make a video of the brawl which has been recovered by the police.

Delhi Police’s Crime Branch on Friday made it’s 9th arrest in the Sagar Rana murder case and the latest accused has claimed that he was one of those who beat up the wrestlers at the Chhatrasal Stadium’s parking area on the night of May 4.

The Crime Branch nabbed a person named Binder, real name Vijender, from Tikri village in the city. Vijender is also a wrestler by profession and confessed to beating up Sagar Rana and his friends on the instructions of prime accused Sushil Kumar.

There were a total of 12 main accused in the Sagar Dhankad Wrestler murder case in which 9 have been arrested and 3 are absconding. The crime branch is conducting raids to nab the three absconders Praveen, Pradeep and Vinod Pradhan.

37-year-old Sushil Kumar was arrested along with his associate Ajay Kumar in Delhi’s Mundka area on the morning of May 23. The duo were caught as they were on the way to meet someone on a scooter. During the interrogation, Sushil admitted that he was present during the brawl and went home to sleep afterward.
