Sagar Rana Murder Case: Court sends 6 arrested during probe to judicial custody

A Rohini court on Sunday sent 6 accused arrested in the Sagar Rana murder case to judicial custody after being produced before the judge by Delhi Police. This news comes a day after prime accused Sushil Kumar and his associate Ajay’s police custody was extended by 4 days.

9 arrests have been made so far by the Delhi Police’s crime branch since the death of 23-year-old Sagar Rana in a brawl on the night of May 4. There were a total of 12 accused in the case out of 3 are still absconding. Cops are conducting constant raids to nab the three absconders Praveen, Pradeep and Vinod Pradhan.

Meanwhile, the prosecution in the case has told the court that two-time Olympic medalist “Sushil Kumar is the primary mastermind and main culprit of this heinous crime wherein a young wrestler died.”

According to the police, the brawl took place between Sushil and Ajay, Prince, Sonu, Sagar Rana, Amit and others in the parking area of Chhatrasal Stadium on May 4. Sushil even asked Prince to make a video of the brawl which has been recovered by the police.

37-year-old Sushil was arrested along with Ajay in Delhi’s Mundka area on May 23, after being on the run since Sagar’s death. It has been revealed that about 18-20 persons were involved in the commission of offence.

From the point of abduction to causing them fatal injuries. The prosecution has also informed that the Delhi Police want more time to question Sushil Kumar.
