RRR Golden Globe: RRR song Naatu Naatu wins Best Original Song award at Golden Globe Awards 2023

Indian blockbuster movie RRR has created history at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, winning the Best Original Song award for the track Naatu Naatu on Wednesday. The award was accepted by composer MM Keeravani, who was part of the RRR delegation at the ceremony. The RRR team was represented by the film’s cast Jr NTR and Ram Charan and the director SS Rajamouli at the ceremony.

The song can be heard in the voices of Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, while the lyrics have penned down by Chandrabose. You can listen to the song here:

RRR is a period drama set in 1920s British-ruled India. It shows Jr NTR and Ram Charan essay the role of freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharamaraju. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in supporting roles, besides as British actors Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Olivia Morris. The movie was a blockbuster hit, garnering over Rs 1,200 crore worldwide.

The movie RRR was also nominated for the Best Non-English Language Film alongside All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany), Close (Belgium), and Decision to Leave (South Korea) and Argentina, 1985 (Argentina). However, Argentina, 1985 edged ahead in this category to secure the win.

Shortly after the win, actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR posted pictures from the event. Jr. NTR congratulated music composer Keeravani with a shot of the latter accepting the award.

Where to watch RRR on OTT

RRR is available to watch in Hindi on Netflix. The movie was released in various languages in theatres on March 25, 2022, after facing numerous delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
