rog phone 6: Asus Zenfone 9 and ROG Phone 6 designs may have leaked – Times of India

Design sketches for the Zenfone 9 and ROG Phone 6, the expected upcoming flagship smartphones by Asus, have appeared online, and are being claimed as the official designs for the smartphones by EqualLeaks.
The sketches show the Asus Zenfone 9 having a second mini display at the rear which is expected to come with touch control. Also, the phone sketches do not show a flip camera design, something that was praised a lot with its introduction in the Asus 6Z. With the phone kept with its backside up, the top left of the smartphone is shown to carry two camera sensors, arranged vertically and just below the second sensor is the secondary touch-enabled display. As per the report, the secondary display would serve functions like screenshots and photos and opening and closing the flashlight.
As per the sketches, in both the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro gaming smartphones, the Republic of Gamers logo would be present at the back along with a horizontal triple rear camera setup and an extra display too. The ROG 6 is shown with a small, rectangular display while the 6 Pro comes with a bigger display. The report claims that Asus would ship both of its flagship devices with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with the Android 12 OS.

When compared with the Asus ROG 5 Series, the claimed ROG Phone 6 series phones are shown with a different camera placement, though the number of sensors remains the same as with the ROG Phone 5.
While the ROG Phone 5 came to India last year, Asus is yet to announce the Zenfone 8 in India. It remains to be seen when Asus is going to introduce the next flagships.
