Reliance Jio Q4 Results: Profit jumps 24% YoY to Rs 4,173 crore; misses estimates

NEW DELHI: Telecom major Reliance Jio on Friday reported a standalone profit of Rs 4,173 crore for the March 2022, up 24.20 per cent from Rs 3,360 crore in the same quarter last year.

This misses an ET NOW poll estimate of Rs 4,247 crore.

Revenues for the quarter came in at Rs 20,901 crore, rising 20.41 crore compared to Rs 17,358 crore from the year ago quarter. This is against an ET NOW poll projection of Rs 20,715 crore.

Ebitda stood at Rs 10,510 crore and was higher than ET NOW poll estimate of Rs 10,398 crore. The margin stood at 50.3 per cent against ET NOW poll of 50.2 per cent.

Operating margin came in at 27.5 per cent compared to 25.7 per cent in the same quarter last year. Net profit margin stood at 17 per cent, up 60 basis points from 16. per cent.

Net cash flow from operating activities in FY22 was at Rs 31,287 crore, down from Rs 32,604 crore in FY21.

HIGHLIGHTS

-Gross revenue for the quarter was Rs 26,139 crore ($3.4 billion), higher by 20.7%

-EBITDA for the quarter was Rs 10,918 crore ($ 1.4 billion), increase of 27.4%

-Net profit for the quarter was Rs 4,313 crore ($ 569 million), growth of 22.9%

-Cash profit for the quarter was Rs 9,623 crore ($ 1.3 billion), growth of 24.0%

-Total customer base as on 31st March 2022 of 410.2 million

-ARPU during the quarter of Rs 167.6 per subscriber per month

-Total data traffic was 24.6 billion GB during the quarter; 47.5% growth
