Successor to last year’s Redmi A2 and A2+ smartphones, the Redmi A2 series is likely to receive some upgrades in the hardware and software department. The Redmi A2 series was launched earlier this year in some European markets.
The company is expected to announce the pricing and availability of the Redmi A2 series at the time of the launch event which is scheduled to start at 11 AM onwards.

Redmi A2 series comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ dot drop display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. The display has an aspect ratio of 20:9 with Night Light support. The smartphone has a rear fingerprint sensor.
Redmi A2 series is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 processor. The smartphone comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM options and a single 32GB internal storage. The device also supports expandable storage of up to 1TB.
Both smartphones sport an 8MP main camera with an auxiliary lens paired with a 5MP front camera. The smartphone will be available in three colour options–light blue, light green and black.
The smartphones are backed by 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support.
