The Redmi A2 India launch is scheduled to take place on May 19th at 11 am. Those interested can register for more information by going to the company’s website and tapping on the ‘Notify Me’ button. Xiaomi is also running a contest where you have to take a screenshot of the phone from the teaser page, and share it on Twitter to win giveaways.

Redmi A2 specifications 

Since the Redmi A2 is already official we already know the specifications of the smartphone. So here’s a look at what you’ll get with the Redmi A2.

• The Redmi A2 features a 6.52-inch LCD display with 720 x 1600 pixel resolution.
• The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 processor paired with 2GB and 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage you get 32GB with the Redmi A2. 
• On the software front, the Redmi A2 runs on Android 12 (Go Edition) out-of-the-box.
• In the photography department, the Redmi A2 sports a dual-camera setup with an 8MP primary sensor and a QVGA camera along with an LED flash. For selfies, the Redmi A2 houses a 5MP front camera. 
• The Redmi A2 also packs a 5,000mAh battery.
• In terms of connectivity, the Redmi A2 comes with dual SIM support, 4G, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a micro-USB port. 

Xiaomi has also teased the Redmi A2 which confirm the specifications with its European variant. There is one thing to note here though. The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ offer the same set of specifications but the only difference is that the latter has a rear fingerprint sensor. The Indian teaser for the Redmi A2 confirms the fingerprint sensor which means that it’s actually the Redmi A2+.
