Redmi Writing Pad: Specs & Price

Redmi has added a new product to its portfolio which is the company’s digital take on the good old slate. The Redmi Writing Pad has an 8.5-inch Polymer LCD Screen and comes in a black colorway.

It is an eco-friendly solution for those who are in a habit of taking notes, making lists, sketches, etc. This device does not use paper so it helps reduce carbon footprint.

The Redmi Writing Pad is lightweight (90 grams) and easy to carry around in a bag without any issues. The LCD tablet uses a type of screen called an electrophoretic display, which is made of small capsules. These capsules have tiny particles of fluid that move around and change the color of the screen. The screen does not need any backlighting as well.

The Writing Pad comes with a user manual and a stylus that can be attached to the tablet. The bottom has a lock toggle that prevents the content on the screen from being overwritten. The pad comes with a replaceable button cell on one side. This is because the company has claimed that the Pad will offer a battery life of around 20,000 pages before it runs out. The front has an orange button that resets the display and lets you write or doodle from scratch.

The Redmi Writing Pad is currently available on Mi Store for Rs. 599.
