Redmi 10: Redmi 10 smartphone launched at Rs 10,999 onwards: Specs, all other details of the big screen and battery phone – Times of India

Redmi 10 smartphone is here. The Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has expanded its affordable smartphone range with the launch of Redmi 10 under its popular Redmi number series. Redmi 10 is the first smartphone to run on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. The smartphone also sports largest screen so far in Redmi number series. Other key specs are Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and 50MP primary camera.
Redmi 10 price and availability
Redmi 10 will be available across Mi.com, Flipkart.com, Mi Home and Mi Studio stores starting March 24, 2022, 12:00 noon onwards. The Redmi 10 smartphone is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and Rs 12,999 for 6GB+128GB variant. There’s a discount of Rs 1000 available on HDFC Bank credit cards and EMI purchases.
Redmi 10 design and display
Redmi 10 comes with an 6.71-inch HD display, the largest screen so far in the number series. It features 20.6:9 aspect ratio. The screen is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass, the version is not specified. Redmi 10 offers Widevine L1 Certification for HD viewing across streaming options. The phone comes with in-built 1.5W speaker and offers the conventional 3.5mm jack. The smartphone has rubberized seals to prevent water ingression and also packs corrosion-proof ports. There’s also a multi-layer Graphite sheet on the smartphone that the company claims ensures faster heat dissipation to protect the device from any heating issues.
Redmi 10 features the same EVOL design language, carrying forward Redmi Note 10 series design langauge. It comes with a stylish textured finished back that is available in 3 colours – Caribbean green, Pacific blue and Midnight black. The rear camera hosts fingerprint sensor that blends into the camera module devised for single-hand-use.

Redmi 10 smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset with 6nm Architecture. The smartphone hosts 4x ARM Cortex A-73 @2.4GHz and 4x ARM Cortex A-53 @1.9GHz to multiply its performance along with Adreno 610 @1.0Ghz. Redmi 10 comes with UFS 2.2 storage, that is over 100% faster than UFS 2.1. Redmi 10 also has virtual RAM Booster expandable upto 8GB. The smartphone runs on MIUI 13 out of the box.
For photos, Redmi 10 has a dual back camera setup. The device packs 50MP main sensor which is supported by a 2MP depth sensor for detailed closeup shots. It also comes with a 5MP front camera for all selfies. The Redmi 10 smartphone boasts of 6000mAh battery and 18W fast charging. The smartphone is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of uninterrupted gaming and 146 hours of music playback. Redmi 10 promises a standby time of upto 24 days.
