Realme Narzo N55 roundup: India launch date, expected price, specs, and everything we know so far

The Realme Narzo N55 is scheduled to launch in India this week as a brand-new series within Narzo, and Realme has been fueling anticipation for the smartphone through social media teasers, including images and videos. The teasers have revealed many of the phone’s features, such as its punch-hole camera and ‘Mini capsule’ for added functionality, which were recently seen on the Realme C55. Based on these teasers alone, it appears that the Realme Narzo N55 may be a rebranded version of the Realme C55, aimed at a slightly different audience. Ahead of the launch event, let’s take a closer look at the phone’s launch time, expected price, design, and specifications.

Realme Narzo N55 launch date in India, event time

Realme will officially introduce the Narzo N55 smartphone in the country on April 12th at 12:00 PM. The Narzo N55 launch is taking place roughly two weeks after the C55 launch which it is said to be based on.

Realme Narzo N55 expected price in India, storage, colours

The Realme Narzo N55 is expected to cost less than Rs 15,000 in India, if we go by the pricing of the Realme C55. For reference, the Realme C55 (review) retails for Rs 10,999 for the 4GB/64GB model, Rs 11,999 for the 6GB/64GB model, and Rs 13,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant in India. Given that the Narzo N55 is a 4G handset, the price may actually be reasonable and come in well below our projections. We will know the official price as soon as the launch is concluded tomorrow.

It is speculated that the Realme Narzo N55 would be offered in India with a variety of storage options, including 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB. The phone is anticipated to be released in India in two color variations: Prime Black and Prime Blue.

Why is Realme launching the Narzo N55?

It seems the Realme Narzo N55 is a rebranded version of the Realme C55, but with some changes to the design, specifically the rear panel. The company has co-designed the Narzo N55 with Amazon and it will show off a dual-tone finish on the rear panel, with a glitter texture on the top section. The upcoming phone is essentially a “trendier” version of the C55 aimed at the Gen-Z audience.

Realme Narzo N55 specifications (expected)

Apart from the dual-tone finish, everything else about the Nazro N55 is expected to be similar to the C55. The upcoming phone should sport a large 6.72-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, and slim bezels on the sides.

The MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, which may be coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS2.2 internal storage, will likely power the Narzo N55 smartphone. Regarding the cameras, the Nazro N55 features a dual camera setup on the rear that includes a 64MP primary camera—a first for the Narzo lineup—along with a 2MP depth lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone is expected to rely on an 8MP camera.

Other notable features on the handset might include dual 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 13-based Realme UI skin out of the box, and a large 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
