Realme GT 5 launch date is expected to be revealed soon as the company has officially started teasing the phone’s arrival. The smartphone is expected to release in China first before making its way to other global markets. Earlier this week, well-known tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks revealed that the rumoured Realme GT Neo 6 will be called the Realme GT 5 instead.

Realme GT 5 launch details

Realme has teased the launch of the Realme GT 5 on Chinese social media platform Weibo (via tipster Mukul Sharma). The poster reveals the name of the phone but not much else. However, if the Realme GT 5 and Realme GT Neo 6 are indeed the same device then we do know what it will look like.

Realme GT 5 tipped to be the same as Realme GT Neo 6

According to OnLeaks, the Realme GT Neo 6 that has been in the news for a while now will in fact be launched as the Realme GT 5. If this is true, then we have some idea about the upcoming phone’s design and key specifications.

Leaked renders of the Realme GT Neo 6 earlier this month show that the phone will feature a large camera module that covers the top thirds of the phone. The module features two circular camera cutouts, with the top one housing a single (likely primary) sensor and the bottom housing two sensors. The right side of the module mentions the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that will power the phone.

Realme GT 5 specifications could include a 6.74-inch 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, up to 16GB RAM, a 50MP OIS primary camera, and Android 13 OS. Rumour has it the phone will come in 150W and 240W fast charging variants.
