Real Housewives’ Mauricio Umansky and Ken Todd’s friendship crumbles over Lisa Vanderpump-Kyle Richards feud
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umansky revealed to Us Weekly how his wife Kyle Richards’ feud with Lisa Vanderpump affected his relationship with Ken Todd. Umansky recalled that he saw Todd after the falling out, but when he tried to give him a handshake, the restaurateur’s husband refused to shake his hand. Umansky believed that despite their wives’ differences, they could have remained civil with each other.
Richards and Vanderpump had a feud during season 9 of the show when their co-star, Dorit Kemsley, adopted a dog from Vanderpump’s foundation and later gave it away. Richards and other cast members accused Vanderpump of leaking stories about the fiasco to the press, a claim she denied. Vanderpump’s and Richards’ friendship ended with Vanderpump disbelieving Richards’ statement of innocence.
Umansky supported his wife through the friendship drama and still supports her health journey. He revealed that Richards quit drinking and went for full health, and once she gets something in her mind, she won’t stop. Fans speculated that Richards had used a weight loss drug developed for adults with type 2 diabetes to shed pounds, but she shut down those rumors, stating that she was not taking Ozempic. Umansky is also a stepdad to Richards’ 34-year-old daughter Farrah.
