Ranbir, who will be next seen in Shamshera, recently took part in a rapid-fire game conducted by the film’s production house Yash Raj Films. During the interaction, Ranbir was asked to reveal one piece of advice given by Rishi Kapoor that will always stay with him. In response, the actor said, “Don’t take success to your head, don’t take failure to your heart, and what I have really understood now, after so many years in the industry is that – do films that appeal to a larger audience.”
In the rapid-fire session, Ranbir also revealed that he is a mama’s boy, and not a papa’s boy. He also took Alia Bhatt’s name, when he was asked what makes him smile the most. He said, “My wife, my dogs, my family, cool breeze, a game of football, and a good movie.” Asked to describe himself in three words, Ranbir said, “Shy, lazy, and emotional.” Asked one thing about Alia that he adores, Ranbir said, “That she’s very loving.”
When asked about his favourite films, Ranbir named Shree 420 (1955), which starred his grandfather Raj Kapoor, as well as father Rishi in a cameo. He also named Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995). The actor shared that he believes his 2009 film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, in which he starred opposite his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, is his ‘most underrated film.’ He said, “I didn’t appreciate it back then, it was quite a good entertainer.”
He answered a number of other questions in the game. Asked to share which person on the internet he is currently crushing on, Ranbir took the name of actor Zendaya. He also shared that filmmaker Rohit Dhawan is his ‘4 am friend’.
Ranbir will be seen in the first double role of his career in Shamshera, which also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on July 22 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
