Preity Zinta Celebrates 47th Birthday With Decadent Cakes And Her Close Family

After her breakthrough performance in her debut film ‘Dil Se’ in 1997, Preity Zinta managed to make strides with a list of blockbusters one after another. The dimpled beauty was charming, bubbly, and a sensation in Bollywood back then. Today, although, we don’t see much of Preity on the silver screen, the actress still manages to reside in our hearts. Besides what we miss of Preity on the silver screen is adequately substituted by her frequent social media posts and interactions. Preity is quite active on Twitter and Instagram and often gives her fans and followers glimpses of her life in the US and India. On the 31st of January, the actor celebrated her 47th birthday in a private and low-key manner with husband Gene Goodenough and family.

The actor posted on her Instagram profile what her 47th birthday looked like with two delicious cakes kept on the table. She got candid in her caption and revealed that she spent her special day not partying or getting dolled up but taking care of her children and their needs. Preity and Gene have recently become parents to twins through surrogacy and the actor seems to be enjoying her motherhood days a lot. She captioned the post “A big thank you to all of you for the birthday wishes and for all your love. This birthday was like no other. We stayed home and I spent most of the day cleaning and sterilising milk bottles for the kids, then feeding, burping, and changing nappies. I cannot believe I’m saying this but I did not find the time to wear a nice dress and get all made up. In spite of all that, this birthday was special cuz I had my little ones keeping me company and it was just a family affair’.

We did manage to get a closer look at the cakes because Preity later uploaded her birthday delights on Instagram stories.

The second was a decadent chocolate cake that looked every bit tempting. With a chocolaty and moist base and an even chocolatier ganache topping, this special cake was presented by her adorable mother-in-law. She captioned the image “Mom-in-law love, Thank you Ma”, look at it here:
