New Delhi: Prashanth Hospitals announces the launch of its 4th generation Robot for Joint Reconstruction. This precision-based technology system comprises 3D visualization and intuitive control systems that are used for performing joint reconstruction surgeries in patients with end-stage arthritis and other knee joint-related complications.
The 4th Generation Robot will use infrared cameras and optical trackers to 3D map the joint and collect precise data of a patient’s anatomy, thereby providing a favourable implant for every single procedure. The tailor-made technique will allow surgeons to make instantaneous decisions and remove the affected bone areas, with a 30 per cent increase in efficiency and improved accuracy.
In an effort to further strengthen its services in the Orthopaedics space, the hospital also inaugurated its Centre of Excellence for Robotic Joint Reconstruction. The centre will be spearheaded by Dr Arumugam, Senior Orthopaedic surgeon, and Clinical Lead, along with a team of over 20 plus expert Orthopaedic experts, Senior Consultants, Nurses, and Physiotherapists.
Dr Prashanth Krishna, Director, Prashanth Hospitals said, “We are delighted to bring this specialized 4th generation Robot for Joint Reconstruction to the city. With these edge-cutting technologies, we are poised to transform the lives of our patients, ensuring better outcomes with faster recovery time.
